Stop searching and look

been to a church that doesn't express agape love? I have. They will build their church on attendance, finances, and programs. They run their church like a secular four-year college. There is a lot of mistrust and division.

From the outside, this type of church looks very successful in a monetary sense. But inside there are all kinds of misdirected emotions and affections. They are the church Paul spoke of throughout 1 Corinthians 13.

The Church at Corinth operated without real love. Why? Because like many churches, they tried to run it without (1 Corinthians chapter 14).

This chapter ties together chapter 13 into one. It's the power of the Holy Spirit and the spiritual gifts that work in great love together.

"Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy." (1 Corinthians 14:1 KJV). The fruit of the Holy Spirit is sowed this way.

22} "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23} Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24} And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25} If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." (Galatians 5:22-25 KJV).

No church can fully see changed transformed lives without the love of God through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. No great faith, acts of dedication or sacrifice, and miracle-working power produce very little without love.

My faithful friends through "TRY JESUS," Please understand my loving plea to each one if your hearts. You cannot find real love in a gift less church. You may be happy but not truly joyful. Real Holy Spirit Love makes our actions and gifts bonding and useful.

Although people have different gifts, everyone can have a huge amount of love. Some of you know the lyrical song "Bind us together Lord, bind us together with cords that cannot be broken, bind us together Lord, bind us together, bind us together in "LOVE."

Look at how the Holy Spirit moved the apostle Paul to pen 1 Corinthians chapter 13 between chapters 12 and 14.
1 Corinthians 13 defines real love, and 1 Corinthians 12 and 14 shows how love works.

It's like making your favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Once placed in between those two slices, it's very difficult to separate them. Take a look at the first verse in (1 Corinthians 12:1 and the last verse. (1:31).

Then read what the first verse says in (1 Corinthians 13:1). Then read the last verse 13. Now look over at the first verse in (1 Corinthians 14:1). Then read the last verse 40. What does it all center around? Love and instruction, right?

Love is packed right in the middle of God’s spiritual gifts. Love is more important than all the spiritual gifts exercised in the church body. But love is the spiritual oil of the engine that keeps the church running.

Without that anointed spiritual oil, the church will eventually start to sputter and overheat, leading to an eventual breakdown of other parts in the church body. After that, the church may need a new Pentecostal outpouring overhaul.

The Church can never function properly without the indwelling, love and power of the Holy Spirit. I've walked in many churches where that wasn't the case. There are many religious churches that operate in the flesh.

They go through more rigid scripted programs each week and use outward appealing sites to draw others to make themselves look pious. Before you start to walk your eyes away from today's message, just listen a bit more.

It is certainly possible to be pious without power. Visually, it’s like plugging in an expensive gold lamp, but finding out the bulb is burned out. The major function of the lamp is to provide light. Jesus accused the religious leaders of not having this light.

He referred to them as whitewashed tombs. Their love and care of the people were phony and selfish. They only cared about position and power. Please read (John 8:39-45). The religious leaders were spiritual charlatans.

Notice the word love comes up from Jesus in verse 42. If God were their Father, they would have loved him. It is the Greek word (agapaō). The Father and Son have that deep love relationship between each other.

The religious leaders claimed they knew God because of being from the family line (seed) of Abraham. I’ve met children of pastors who live off the coattails of their dads, but have no loving relationship with God.

It's impossible to love God and diss Jesus. Jesus is love and acted it among the people, which caused many people to believe him. (John 8:28-30). God’s love is the reason this world exists and why he wants to spend eternity with us.

We have the wonderful opportunity to love him in return and love others because we understand how love changes everything for good. Jesus gave his disciples a new commandment that they love one another.

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." (John 13:34 KJV).

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." (John 15:12 KJV).

"These things I command you, that ye love one another." (John 15:17 KJV). After Jesus was crucified and ascended to his Father, John would repeat those words of love in (1 John, 2 John, and 3 John).

Before we close for the day, here are some basic numbers to look at to see how important love is to God and that we choose it over what the world offers us. (1 John 2:15). The word "love" appears 2,141 times in the KJV.

It shows up 183 times in the New Testament. The word "love" appears in every book of the New Testament in the KJV. The Apostle John's writings mention "love" 57 times, and the First Epistle of John mentions it 46 times.

When you read (1 John 4:7-21), you cannot escape the exact detail and definition of how love is defined in relationship to God. Those 26 words describe how real love is the source of God's amazing love.

[Everyone believes that love is important, but love is usually thought of as a feeling. In reality, love is a choice and an action. God is the source of our love. He loved us enough to sacrifice his Son for us. Jesus showed us what love is]

🗣📢 Last words: So many people’s lives in our country today have a bleak and unhappy experience of what love is. Whether it's through any kind of abuse from someone you trusted, or receiving it in an unfulfilled marriage, it hurts deeply

Every day, people are trying to find love in the world. They run from bar to bar, bed to bed, marriage to marriage, porn to more porn, and dating sites everywhere. They try to run to broken Hollywood, hoping to find it there.

But most are still searching, each time with a deeper hurt than before. Aren't you tired of looking for love in all the wrong places? Aren't you tired of all the disappointments? Aren't you tired of all the tears?

Here's a general question for males and females to answer. "Who do you think gets hurt more in loving relationships, men or women?" Who received more abuse and unfaithfulness in the Bible, men or women?

Who are the primary targets of abuse and rape in America? How many women in the Bible found the right man to love when God and Jesus showed up? How many women don't mind their husbands loving them the way Jesus does?

How do men love their wives as Christ loves the church? How is that love put into action? (Ephesians 5:25-29). A Christian husband must kill his desire to put himself and his personal desires ahead of his wife’s.

In a real loving marriage, real spiritual intimacy involves inviting Jesus into every aspect of your oneness in matrimonial bliss. Giving loving sacrificial service to each other shows what Jesus told us. If you desire to be great, then learn to serve.

For example, if your mate frequently requests that you take a walk after dinner, go on a picnic, turn off the TV and talk, or go away for a weekend together, then make the attempt to carry out her request.

Women and men still love quality time to build their love nest and make it stronger to withstand outside evil influences. I read a story about a wife who felt neglected and unloved because her husband seldom spends time with her.

He gives her nice gifts on her birthday and wonders why she's not excited about them. But gifts mean very little to women when they are given to gain something for self instead of sacrifice when they don’t feel loved.

But everyone can find this in a relationship with God through his loving son, Jesus. How does God love us? Perfectly and with complete understanding. He knows us, and he knows how we can experience his love.

We can never love perfectly this side of heaven, of course. God treats love and hate the same way. There is no hate in God. God's character is to love supremely all that he has created. Yes, even his fallen angels.

And yet his great love moves him to punish sin. God still has rath against sin. His righteous indignation is against sin. God is holy. He abhors sin and has a settled disposition of unrelenting hostility toward it, wherever it is found.

It is hard for us to understand the holiness of God because we’re not holy until God sees the blood that his son shed to wash away our perverted view of what love is here on earth.

I have met many couples who got married for pleasure alone. But when one of the couples failed to fulfill that desire, the disappointed other spouse went searching for someone else to hurt and take advantage of.

Earthly love apart from God is like asking a fish to comprehend life outside water. Eventually, your eyes start to get big and grope for breath, only to die alone. Jesus is still sending out his church to catch fish that stay alive in his love.

Listen my beloved friends across the US, it is one thing to say you love Jesus, but the real test is your willingness to serve him. Peter had repented, and his conversation with Jesus was about to committing his life to him.

Peter’s life changed when he finally realized who Jesus was. His occupation changed from fisherman to evangelist His identity changed from impetuous to the “Rock." His relationship with Jesus changed, and he was forgiven.

He finally understood what the definition of what real love and commitment looked like. Peter was restored by the loving eyes of Jesus. He realized the significance of Jesus’ words about his death and resurrection.

When you're searching today my friends, please know that real love is knocking on the door of your heart. Stop looking for love outside of yourself and answer the door of your heart. (Revelation 3:20; Matthew 11:28-30; 1 John 3:1).

He'll be standing right there to embrace it forever. Know this my dear friends, if your love is not growing towards Jesus, it's dying. Jesus should be your first love above all other loves.

To know him is to love him, and to love him is to trust him, and to trust him is to obey him. Today, give your heart completely unto him.

📕 Your assignment is to search and feast on more love scriptures from the Author. Some of my favorites are (Romans 5:5; 8:35-39; Jeremiah 31:3; Ezekiel 36:25-27; Colossians 2:1-3;
Matthew 6:33-34; Proverbs 3:5-6; Deuteronomy 10:2:4; Revelation 2:4). There's enough to go around for everyone. Have Fun!

🛐 Here’s a prayer you can pray to find real love. "Heavenly Father, thank you for guiding my heart to the real living love I have missed all my life. I have searched for love everywhere and walked away with emptiness and more brokenness.

Jesus, I need your love to cover this pain that seems to never go away. The loneliness I feel brings up emotions and memories of abuse, resentment, distrust, anger, depression, and isolation from those who care about me.

Lord, I'm ready to release and dump all this at your feet and replace it with your living genuine love. I turn from sins and surrender my heart into your loving hands. Take hold of tears as you embrace my life today.

Jesus, I desperately need your guidance in opening my heart your true love. Teach me what real love is. Help me to be patient and trust in your timing if earthly love should come my way. Prepare me with your loving discernment

Father, align my heart with yours, to seek a partner who reflects your love and who will walk alongside me in choosing you as Lord in our relationship. Open my eyes to see the qualities that truly matter in a partner.

Lord, thank you for knowing me perfectly and loving me perfectly. Help me set my affections on you and above all other earthly desires and passions. Give me wisdom to understand and pray for future relationships I enter into.

Thank you Lord, for the gift of love and for the promise of a future filled with joy and companionship. My searching begins and ends with you, Jesus. Continue to keep me in your grip until I see you face to face. I love you, Amen."
