You Are Supremely Loved

Hello, my friend, may I have a word with you? I also want to hear your life's thoughts today. You stopped at this page because you are searching for answers and relief from the turmoil your mind and life is in.

First, let me state, this is not a self-help humanistic plan or steps that will alleviate your hopelessness. There are no worldly remedies that I can offer to you, that will ease your depressed situation.

But if you hate life, if you dread waking up, if you wish that person in the mirror would go away, I have the purest, living truth available for you.

So, if you’re feeling trapped or alone or experience depression, anxious, irritable, insomnia, humiliated or rejected or losing interest in things, it can all dissipate like the fog that burns away when the son comes out.

You see my friend, when the son comes out everything takes on a different perspective. God knows each heart. He understands your hurt, the depth of your pain, and the helplessness you feel. Did you know Jesus had devastating thoughts sent to his mind?

You see my friend, Jesus own disciples at one point thought, why won't he eat? So, when people ask you questions like why aren't you happy? Why aren't you sleeping better? Why don't you have any peace? Why are you lonely?

Some people can attribute their feelings of emptiness because of losing a loved one or losing employment. Maybe it was due to being bullied or abused. A lot of people contribute their life to not having any value because they lost someone they love.

So if you feel like your life is suffocating you, I have the resuscitating answers for you. You will breathe and savor the new life given to you. Please allow me to share a story before you click off the site.

There was a man who was employed at an incarceration house. Let's just call it a jail. He was in charge of all the prisoners. Ok, let's call him a warden. One day there was a great earthquake, and all the foundations of the prison doors were opened. Even the shackles that were on many prisoners fell off.

The warden, after seeing this took out his own sword (a sword meant for defense against criminals) to kill himself. Why would he hurt himself? Why not call others to help round up the prisoners who might try to escape?

Could it be that the pressures of this job were to overwhelming? Could it be that he was afraid that he knew the penalty, death for himself if one escaped? He certainly was accountable for all of them. Who wants to live under that kind of pressure.

But there came a voice that cried out and said, "Do not harm yourself!" Someone cared enough to seek him out. Basically, he told the warden, Stop! I care about you. Let’s talk. After that talk and further discussion, the man's life was never the same.

Want to know where I found this wonderful story of loving on another person? You can read it in (Acts 16:20-40). Here's a brief summary of the event.

The main players in this story are Paul and Silas. Their reputation in Philippi was well known. When the jailer realized his own condition and need, he risked everything to find the answer to his question. (Acts 16:30).

Paul and Silas shared with him the Good News of salvation: Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. (Romans 10:8-10; 13;  1 Corinthians 12:3; Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 2:11).

[Paul and Silas took the family unit seriously, so the offer of salvation was extended to the jailer’s entire household, his family and servants. The jailer’s faith is not what saved them; they all needed to come to Jesus the way he did.]

Here's the wonderful ending wrapped up in this feel could story. Instead of the wife and family being filled with grief and mourning, and planning the funeral of their father, they heard and realized he was spared from death.

He was spared in the quake, spared from suicide by the discovery that the prisoners had not fled, and now wanted to be spared from God’s future judgment.

[The jailer’s joy is palpable. What looked like a life-threatening disaster became the joyous beginning of his new life in Christ. He and his family became part of the growing church at Philippi.]

What a beautiful outcome for an entire family. Let's bring this closer to home. This is 2023. There are many pressures that young men and women face today. Maybe you’re trying to fit in on social media with no results.

Maybe your trapped in the world of Tik-Tok. Maybe missing school from lock downs caused you to abandon your career choices. May social fears led you to drugs. Maybe Covid hurt your family through divorce. Whatever your desperate pain is, there is hope and an answer for you.

Suicide is never the end of, but it’s the beginning of it. If I could keep you on this page for a few more minutes, maybe you'll consider another alternative. Let's try a little life building blueprint for you.

You’ll need a Bible to participate in this. If you don't have a Bible, you can find one on your phone. Let's start with 1) "Who gave you life?" The Bible says Jesus did. (John 1:3).

2) "Who created this world for you to live on?" Jesus did! (Colossians 1:14-18).

3) "Who knows everything you've ever said or thought in your heart?" Jesus does! (Psalm 139:4).

4) "Who knows how lonely and really scared you are? Who really understands you?" Jesus does! (Hebrews 4:12,13).

5) "Who knows all about your sins?" Jesus does! (Matthew 9:4).

6) "Who wants you to be next to him in heaven?" Want to take a guess? Its Jesus! What comforting words, right? (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

7) "Who wants to keep you from going to hell?" Only Jesus! There is no other way to God but through Jesus. (John 14:6). Many religions teach there are other ways to get to heaven, but they are filled with unfulfilled death traps. (2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 19:19,20; 20:10-15; 21:8).

8) "Who loved you so much that he would leave his throne and come to shed his precious blood to wash away your sins and die for you?" Jesus! (Colossians 1:13,14).

9) "Who loved you so, so, so, much that he rose from the dead and went back to heaven?" Jesus! No other great founder of religion accomplished this. Their bodies are still in the ground. (Acts 1:8,9).

10) "Who loves you enough that he would build you a gorgeous mansion in heaven to live in?" Jesus! (John 14:1-3).

11) "Who wants you to tell him all your emotional feelings and cry out to him that you are sorry for hurting yourself and that you'll turn to him from your sin?" Jesus! (Luke 5:32; Romans 3:10).

12) "Who wants to come into your heart if you ask him to?" Jesus absolutely does! (Romans 10:8-10; 13).

13) Once you've done that, look at what can follow. You get to share in his riches, power, and glory. (1 John 3:2). You receive his divine protection (Hebrews 1:14). You will get to rule and reign with him forever. (Revelation 19:11,14,16).

He absolutely loves you so much that he wants you to rule at his side throughout eternity. (Revelation 5:10). What a beautiful love story to be realistic in your life. Who could ever love you like this? No one!

Only Jesus, God Almighty! (Revelation 1:8).

When you feel overwhelmed by suicidal thoughts, turn to God and not away from him, for he is the only one who can really help you. He brings healing to the whole of who you are. Many suicidal help advocates point you to psychological, medicinal directives, crisis counseling, and other help initiatives.

But only God brings love, care, and power that delivers your whole body, soul, and spirit. His power defeats Satan's plan to destroy you entirely. Jesus offers an abundant life that man's intervention cannot match.

Today, I care about you. If you need a friend, I'm here for you. If you need encouragement, I'm here for you. Your life truly matters to me. Jesus came to give you life and more abundant life. (John 10:10).

You can remove the choice of suicide. It's not the solution Jesus wants for you. Sometimes when your life is on the brink of words "I have nothing to live for anymore," It's time to hear those loving, powerful, caring, words, "DO NO HARM TO YOURSELF, IM HERE FOR YOU!

This should illicit a response from you like, "Pastor Todd, WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED? The gospel message is a simple one. Simply watch the videos to their conclusion, or go to the drop-down page "How to know Jesus." When you recognize Jesus as Lord and trust in him with your entire life, you receive salvation. Your life can be filled with joy, just like the jailer’s (Acts 16:34).

Jesus can relate to life’s problems. (Hebrews 4:15,16; Matthew 4:5-7). He was never alone. His Father was always there for him, just like Jesus will be there for you. (Hebrews 13:5,6; 2 Corinthians 5:17). Here's what the Father thinks of you. It's a must read. (Psalm 139:13-18; Jeremiah 1:5; 29:11)

I'm done speaking, how about I just let him tell you himself.

20} "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21} "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." (Revelation 3:20-21 KJV).

28} "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29} Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30} For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30 KJV).
