"Please, just give me nine months"

In our fast-paced world, we want everything tomorrow today. Everything from clothing to food to transportation, we want it expeditiously. That's just another way of saying "we want it fast, no delays!" But there are times in life when we must submit to the time in front of us. For example, how many of you are in a hurry to get to the graveyard? I'm not talking about visiting a loved one. I'm speaking about checking in but not checking out.

You might say "that's absurd, nobody wants to die in a hurry!" Well, so there are things in life that we must wait on for completion. Did you know it takes garlic 9 months to grow? "We've all heard the phrase the best things in life are worth waiting for." Do you think teenagers are happy when they finally get to graduation? When they finally get their driver’s license? Have you ever had to wait to hear someone tell you their sorry?

What about someone noticing you like them. Waiting for someone to recover from illness. Waiting for your kids to grow up. Waiting for your favorite food in the oven to finish cooking. Waiting for the next "I Phone." Waiting for summer after a bitter cold winter. Life is full of excitement and waiting for those special moments, bring joy to your life. There are other things in life worth waiting for. The planning and waiting you put in your upcoming marriage.

Today, what do you suppose a baby in the womb would say if they could speak about their entry into the world in 9 months? What do suppose they would say if they knew their life was about to be snuffed out before their entrance into the world? Somethings a baby might say if they could speak are the very things you say when you have to wait for them. In the world that babies are eager to get to, they need voices to speak for them prior to getting here.

Did you know some pregnant mothers speak and sing lullabies to their babies in the womb? Did you know a baby may start hearing in the womb at approximately week 18? Imagine if the baby could respond to the mother with by saying "mommy that was a beautiful song." "Soon mommy, you'll be able to see my smile and hear my laughter." Why do we continue to attack them in the womb and also outside of the womb? They’re just asking for 9 months!

The Bible tells us that children are a heritage to the Lord (Psalm 127:3). We are also told to raise them in the admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Satan desires to spill innocent blood. He also seeks to destroy them mentally once they are born and raised in the home. We hear of so many stories of child abuse, sex trafficking and psychological abuse to keep children trapped in a life of pain and hopelessness. I truly believe every believer should be involved in the safety and protection of God's gift to us.

Whether you're simply praying for them, or God has you on the front doorsteps of the spiritual battle, God remembers every drop of innocent blood that is spilled. Jesus said their faces always behold his angels. (Matthew 18:10) God uses angels to care and to watch over our children. Everyone who is agreement with the destruction of innocent lives has blood on their hands. From the house cleaning to the President of planned parenthood, to those who support the right to choose, will have to explain to Jesus why they took the stance they did.

If God placed them in the womb, why would he advocate for their destruction?  If people have ever seen a baby smiling in the crib for no reason, they should understand that God rejoices in the life he has created, and it is expressed on the face of that child. I realize there are many cultures that treat children as a nuisance rather than a blessing. But Jesus loves babies! I believe in some nations they control the population by allowing the males to be born but destroy the females.

Other nations simply ignore the value of children, and they are terminated before they have a chance at life. If the angels assigned to these little ones have direct access to God, the least we can do is to provide children easy access to us. I recently read how King Ahaz sacrificed children to fire. Judah once followed God but soon every visible evidence that Judah had once been a God-fearing nation was smashed, defaced, or tucked out of sight. (2 Chronicles 28:1-3)

Today the practice of abortion hasn’t abated. The sacrifice of children to the harsh gods of convenience, poverty, and desperation continues in sterile medical facilities in numbers that would astound even the wicked Ahaz. If we are to allow children to come to Christ (Matthew 19:14), we must first allow them to come into the world. Some people may think the United States is too powerful to fall. God holds all nations to judgement in his power. The United States is no different.

Ever since the Supreme Court passed down its decision in the case of Roe v. Wade, legalizing abortion in the United States, the subject has been one of an intense debate that shows no sign of abating. Those who favor the decision like to classify the sides in the argument as those who are “pro-choice” versus those who are “anti-abortion.” Their descriptive choices clearly indicate their biases! Why not describe the sides as those who are “pro-life” versus those who are “anti-babies”?

The supporters of abortion frame the argument as a matter of freedom of choice on the part of women and a refusal to allow government to interfere in the most intimate areas of a person’s (the woman’s) life. In endeavoring to counter those arguments, one salient point is all too often overlooked—or ignored. In the USA for three decades now, up to 1.5 million babies annually have had their lives ended and have been denied the right to live before they were even born!

In other words, the argument for “freedom of choice” totally misses the point that 1.5 million people per year are being denied the freedom to choose!  It is tragic to be arguing about freedom of choice and government intervention, both legitimate concerns, while missing the point that babies are dying. Why is it that a person who commits murder against a woman who is pregnant is charged with two counts? The mother and the unborn child.

Why is the child given a label then and justice is carried out then, but not when someone simply chooses to remove it through abortion? Some will argue that one was safely administered, and the other was forcibly taken. Some say it isn't a life until out of the womb. Then why are two counts of homicide leveled against the perpetrator? God knows who every life is when he places it in the womb (Jeremiah1:5).

God knew you, as he knew Jeremiah, long before you were born or even conceived. He thought about you and planned for you. God has always thought of babies as valuable. He loves them and creates them for a purpose. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-5) Throughout history there have been individuals who epitomized evil and who were hostile to everything Christ stands for (1 John 2:18; 4:3) (2 John 1:7).

These people, sometimes referred to as antichrists, have lived in every generation and will continue to work their evil. I gather many who believe in abortion today are glad their mothers decided not to abort them. Abortionists are pretty selfish individuals. It's ok for you to be here but not them. I gather none of you would want to give up your life right now in the same method unborn babies are. I didn't think so.

All they want is nine months. Is "Goo-goo-ga-ga" to much to ask? Enough said.

🛐 My prayer for these (Matthew 18:10) lives:

"Heavenly Father, thank you for your spiritual weapons of warfare, which are mighty, invincible, and supernatural. Teach us Lord, to wield them as we stand against the enemy of abortion. Strengthen the body of Christ to continue to stand against the voices that try to silence us. Help us Lord to fight these evil forces in the spiritual realm with your waring angels. We know you have never lost a battle. Cause your intercessors to pull down strongholds in our communities. I pray that you will demolish the devil’s dark stronghold of abortion in your magnificent timing. Lord, move upon the hearts of those that sit on sits of power in this nation. May their words be as Balaam’s words were to bless the unborn. The leaders’ hearts in this nation are in your hands Lord, turn them to the light of life for the unborn. Your kingdom of life will always be for the unborn. Thank you, Lord, for saving them, in Jesus victorious name I pray, amen."

*If you find yourself pregnant and alone, make contact with those in the church community who have a core support system. Having the Love and care from those who care about you and your baby, is the greatest help you can receive during this time. Reach out to women and those who will pray for you and be with you every step. Please send a prayer request or call 412-616-3572. {Psalm 46:1-3; Isaiah 41:10,13; 46:3,4}

"The grace and gentleness of God be with you. You are loved beyond measure."
