Real Life For Your Heart

{Page 2}
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY

Greek text is (chara). Which comes from the verb (chairō). Which means to be full of cheer. To be calmly happy and to rejoice exceedingly. The Holy Spirit restores vitality of your soul.
So, what does happiness mean to you? How do you retain happiness even when things are going terribly wrong in your life? Did you know many Christians were happy and rejoicing when Covid came through?
Many churches cried out to God and did fast and intercede for a move of God's Spirit to protect them from the virus. Even though some believers may have gone home by the grace of God, many rejoiced at their going home funeral or memorial services.
Still others that lived through Covid could rejoice and be happy that the Lord kept them here to joyfully spread his joy throughout the nation when many were filled with fear and anxiety. Today, there are still some afraid to live normal lives.
I would tell them today, "Don't Worry, Be Happy!" And that they should buy a vintage "Timex Happy Smile Watch." I always tell people (Try Jesus members already know), if you have time to worry or fret, then you have time to pray.
[The primary biblical words for "Happy" or "Blessed" are ashre (Hebrew) in the Old Testament and makarios (Greek) in the New Testament. Both often imply a state of flourishing, deep joy rather than fleeting emotions. You see this in the book of Psalms and the Beatitudes.]
And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher. (HAPPY). (Genesis 30:13 KJV). I'd like to ask all the "Try Jesus" members a question. Does anyone know any parents that named their children "Happy."
Maybe they spelled it differently. You know how many of these kids’ names are spelled today. (Smile). Please send me a text if you know someone with the name "Happy." Maybe it could be their middle name.
Did you know God is happy? Did you know Jesus is full of joy? Is happiness just a passing emotion or can it be a way of life? Every day, your emotions and feelings are moved around like checkers on a checkerboard.
Many of you have up and down feelings like two children playing on a seesaw. Your happiness depends on many lifestyle variables. Your contentment, pleasure, elation, and joy, even euphoria, are bounced around like a pinball machine.
We all want to be happy most of the time. Yes, we can have temporary happy situations that call for laughter and feeling good about that day's event. But the Bible through Jesus also offers us deep penetrating long lasting happiness.
This type of happiness (joy) is not moved by negative events. I've been to some funerals where there was joy for someone going to their real home to be with Jesus. They rejoiced even in knowing how their loved one’s life was taken.
As Christians, we don’t need to rely on events or situations to keep us happy. We can learn to develop inner joy that bubbles up despite our unhappy circumstances. This kind of inner joy comes from knowing and obeying God.
Only the Lord can bring the heart continuous joy, even during the hard times of life. The unbelieving world cannot receive this type of joy because they reject the one who can supply it. Please read the Lord's word aloud.
"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." (John 15:11 KJV). What things was Jesus referring too? His commandments and our obedience to follow him.
Here are some passages that describe a born-again believers experience of Christ’s love than brings complete joy from being in a loving relationship with him. Please read these verses with the intention of wanting joy in your life.
(John 3:29-31; 16:20-24; 1 John 1:1-5; 2 John 1:9-13). As stated earlier, you can receive this blessing (happiness) in reading the Beatitudes and the Psalms. Please read (Matthew 5:1-12) aloud into your spirit, family, or study group.
You can also receive the word blessed with happy. (Greek makarios). Which means blessed, happy. I know many people who are afraid to read the book of Revelation because they think it is to horrifying.
But if they would read (Revelation 1:3), they would see that those who read it are indeed "Happy" and blessed. Those who don't know Jesus as Lord are the ones who should be afraid of the wrath of God.
The Psalms also represent the heart that delights in God's amazing word. Do you desire to be happy? Please read (Psalm 1:1-6) into your empty life of sadness. Notice that first word in verse one. Just follow the word "Happy."
[Great joy comes from obeying God and refusing to listen to those who discredit or ridicule him. Friends and associates can have a significant influence on us, often in subtle ways.]
Those who have this careless attitude toward God are no different from those who outright mock him. Those who mock God are removing eternal joy from their soul. You find true happiness by inviting Jesus in, not kicking him out.
Please read (Psalm 84:1-12) aloud into your spirit. How about seeing the last three verses as well. The Lord wants you to be delivered from your days, months, and years of depression, sorrow, and unhappiness. Just let him in.
10} "For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11} For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. 12} O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee." (Psalm 84:10-12 KJV).
This is the way to a "Happy Life!" Not only "Happy Wife, Happy Life," for all the lovely marriages out there, but imagine if you invite Jesus into the middle of it. It then becomes "Happy Christ," "Joyful Souls."
Your souls are never moved by the changing circumstances around you. (Psalm 144) verse 1 and verse 15 are the living book covers of your life that keeps you happy in spite of the things you read in verses 2-14.
🗣📢 Do you want to stay happy in an unhappy world? Trying to stay happy by acquiring more stuff will only leave you with more deadly junk. And your eternal soul will suffer from it. Here's a pleasing homework assignment.
Please read the short book of Philippians and write down a verse that you think would make you or someone you know happy. You may end up writing many verses. The book of Philippians has been described as being Happy Felt."
If you desire your home or church to be filled with contentment, then place God's word above all denominational bye laws, traditions, and legalism in your church. These man-made things crush joy and happiness over time.
That "Timex Happy Smile Watch" worn in your home and church starts to fade into a frown. Godliness mixed with contentment expands joy unspeakable. Please read (1 Timothy 6:6–19).
False theology and making money over the established truths of God's word stand strong and cannot be used towards dividing others. Remember beloved, "In the essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love".
If it's not soaked in love, then it can only bring unhappiness and spread misery throughout your church and home. How many of you dread being around miserable unhappy people all the time? One unhappy can drain a joyful room.
So, here's my closing practical points for keeping happiness (joy) in the center of everything. "Don't worry, be happy." You've got to kick worry out of your everyday life. Place all your worry on Jesus. Give it to him and take his joy.
☆ Trust him over your anxiety. (Matthew 6:25-34). When you seek him first your joy and happiness increase because you have less on your life's plate to worry about. Simply put, "Let go and let God!"
☆ Focus on the internal feeding of your spirit by God's grace and less about your external life of grabbing earthly treasures you can't take to the graveyard. Being happy is more than just something happening.
☆ Keep Jesus as the source of living in joy. Take hold of his abundant life freely. (John 10:10). You can have joy and rest in the promises of God. His promises are indeed yes and Amen! (2 Corinthians 1:20; 7:1; 2 Peter 1:4-8).
☆ Happy God, happy follower. When you walk in his light as he is in the light, you reap the spiritual benefits of his character, Christlikeness. Being close to Jesus is infectious. (Romans 8:28-29; 1 John 2:3-6; Philippians 2:1-5).
☆ Examine yourself at various times on not allowing the world and Satan rob or steal your joy. Stay happy in season and out of season. When the trials and testing’s come stay close to the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:15-23).
☆ Make happiness start in the home and then spread outside your home. Follow Joshua's example as a family that keeps God's word as the foundation to build your family on. (Joshua 1:5-9 24:14-16; Matthew 7:24-27).
When you are unhappy with life or the way it's treated you, blame the enemy of your soul, Satan. God is not to blame for our fallen sin nature. He is not the one to blame when crime and murder hurt our precious children and women.
When we are unhappy, our soul is damaged. Our minds and thoughts have been hurt. Please listen my beloved precious souls, anytime we are seeking true satisfaction from any source other than God, we will be dissatisfied.
Happiness is short lived. If money could buy it, why are people still miserable who have it? And what happens when sickness, or age starts to move you to the grave? You can have the whole world and still be unhappy (Mark 8:36).
[A hunger for God cannot be satisfied with accomplishments, hard work, wealth, fame, or other worldly honors. These may bring temporary satisfaction, but they are not lasting sources of soul satisfaction.]
If your soul is down and you feel like giving up on life, hope in God and cry out to him. (Psalm 42:5). You cannot feed your soul with worldly food. Many religious people try to do it, but it still leaves them dry inside.
We can’t feed our souls with worldly food. Our soul hunger is satisfied only with spiritual food from God. Did you get that? I know many people who never read the Bible or fellowship with other believers and wonder why there's no joy.
Go forth this week choosing joy, resting in his peace, and allowing your life to reflect the gladness of being his child. Be HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!
🛐 Here’s a prayer you can pray to be happy all the day. "Heavenly Father, thank you for today's uplifting message my life needs and that my family needs. Misery and unhappiness can grip any family.
Lord, our nation has many unhappy people. We never take time out from disagreement that is filled with anger. Our homes have aloud political differences to rob us of true love and affection that produces happiness.
Lord, please bring your deep joy to our churches and to our communities. Holy Spirit, bring your deep presence of joy
that only comes from you and not the world's counterfeit fake joy that only last for a brief time.
Forgive me Lord for the times I have looked for happiness in worldly things or allowed my circumstances to steal my peace. Teach me to be content, trusting that I have all I need in you. Help me, Lord, to walk in purity and humility.
Holy Spirit, help my mind on things that are true, noble, and praiseworthy. Whether I am in a season of plenty or in need, may my heart rejoice in your love and presence. I welcome the Spirit of laughing to bless my creator.
Give me the grace to abide in you, cultivating a heart that overflows with the joy of the Holy Spirit. The joy of the Lord is now my strength. I renounce the spirit of heaviness. I am happy all the day, In Jesus' name, Amen."
