The megaphone witness

that Jesus told he would make them fishers of men ended up serving Jesus to bring his gospel message to the spiritually lost and bankrupt souls. (Matthew 4:18-22).

This Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus spoke of is still near to every heart that repents and turns to him. This Kingdom lives in the heart of every person who comes to believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. (Luke 17:21).

The Kingdom is still alive in 2025. Please read (Matthew 4:23-25) aloud into your spirit. Jesus spoke the same words John the Baptist spoke in (Matthew 3:1-2).

Some people today think that prayers are irrelevant and that don't change lives. Some people may think that God is not concerned about us because of all the sin, hate, violence, and race baiting that continues in our society.

But God continues to watch. He continues to draw individuals to himself with his loving kindness. Please read how God feels about sin through the Apostle Paul and how Paul had to suffer and deal with ungodliness.

29} "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30} And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31} Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

32} And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. 33} So Paul departed from among them.

34} Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them." (Acts 17:29-34 KJV).

There are still people today mocking God, attacking churches, making light of prayer, and accepting false religions over the truth found only in Jesus Christ. But God is still using his people to shout his word in the midst of evil.

We know John the Baptist preached from the wilderness in Judea. Judea had mountainous terrain. John's voice was the one crying in the wilderness for people to repent and turn to God. John carried a core message, "Repentance!"

Does your church still preach about sin? Does your church still preach about holiness living? Are you afraid to share your testimony because you have sinned against God and feel you've messed up too much to share the gospel?

John the Baptist was not a perfect person. He needed Jesus just like everyone else does. All those who shouted God's message carried flaws in their lives. All God's messengers were ordinary people who extraordinary things

We all recognize John the Baptist as a powerful "Shout it from the top of mountains preaching." But there were others who had that "MEGAPHONE" type message of judgement and repentance.

It seems that people see and hear when having to look upward when hearing powerful statements directed at their viewing and listening. Are movie theaters built for this interaction?

Some churches still have pulpits up high in the sanctuary. Honestly, in my own years of preaching from the pulpit, I always preferred to come down and walk among the people looking into certain eyes that were hungry to listen.

Most of you know by now who follow "TRY JESUS" ministry that near the end of all the messages you see the silhouette picture with the MEGAPHONE that says "Last words." The megaphone is a point of interest for listening intently.

Some of you know the phrase "Speak softly and carry a big stick." You can speak softly into some professional megaphone without shouting to get your verbal message out for people to hear what you are conveying to them.

There were other men and woman of God who had these mountains megaphone preaching moments in the gospel. These mountains often served as places of divine encounter and prophetic powerful statements.

A) Elijah had an audience on Mount Carmel. Elijah confronted the prophets of the pagan god Baal on Mount Carmel. He called for the people to turn back to God. When God sent fire from heaven, the people repented, crying, "The Lord! He is God!" (1 Kings 18:39).

B) Joel's call to repentance: The prophet Joel, speaking metaphorically of the sound of a trumpet or "air raid siren" from God's holy mountain. (Joel 2:1-32). The people were to tremble and repent before "The day of the Lord!"

C) Jesus' Sermon on the Mount: Even Jesus did not speak all his messages from a mountain top, his "Sermon on the Mount was a "Megaphone" type intense message that rained down on listening ears and hearts. (Matthew 5-7).

Jesus' message was centered around having a changed heart and behavior. He preached and spoke messages that were the essence of what true repentance means. It's not turning over a new year’s resolution act.

🗣📢 Last words: When we mock God about today being the day of salvation, we are placing ourselves in a world of hurt and no protection from Satan’s attack on your life (John10:10). Today, August 31, is the time for salvation. (Romans 13:9-13).

Please also read into your spirit (2 Corinthians 6:1-2). For those of you who are over-sensitive about someone asking you to work 40 hours this week or trying to put loving boundaries around you because you're destroying your life…

"IT'S TIME YOU STARTED LISTENING!" It’s time to stop being coddled and shouting the words "How dare you!" When loving truth that sets you free approaches the space between your ears. Jesus loves you!

You see beloved, God is not a "Kill-joy" Savior. He loves you so deeply he wants you to hear him before you have to face him at the Great White Throne Judgement. (Revelation 20:11-15). His message of repentance is a loving one.

God called Moses up into the mountain also. Could God have easily given Moses the message on a flat land if he so desired. (Exodus 24:12-18). God had a loving plan to bring the people close to himself.

God was leading his chosen people from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the Promised Land. Along the route God lead them to Mt Sinai so he could talk with them about what to expect if they were going to be connected to him.

Some people use the terminology of not being "talked down too." But Moses climbed up the mountain, and God spoke to him face to face. Here's the truth with the people at the base of the mountain.

They didn’t really want to get too close to God! Physically, yes, they were closer, but they didn't want to be near God at all, but even more so spiritually! Listen everyone, how loud does God have shout repentance for us to act on it?

Did the people of Israel start being unrulily once Moses was up on the mountain? It didn’t take long for that to happen once the cloud covered the top and obscured God’s presence.

What is so worth holding onto in your life that you are willing to put cotton in your ears to drown out God's megaphone message meant for your heart? Is it holding on to sin? When God says, “Don’t” our sinful nature says, “Why not?”

When God's voice gets louder, do you clutch harder with filthy language when you hear messages about cursing? I " "love God, but I love my cursing more." Do you drown out messages about grasping drugs, drink, and dirt of this world?

Are you unhappy about your home life or marital status? Do you block out the messages that want to strengthen your marriage relationship? Do you avoid messages about how to bring your children to a loving relationship with Jesus?

God loves us so much, he is willing to give us the choice to receive his megaphone words or reject them. Jesus told the parable about coming to the wedding. Please read in your spirit (Matthew 22:1-14; 23:37; Acts 7:51-56).

God's love is so great towards us that he will finally say, "Your house is left desolate." (Matthew 23:38-39). But your life doesn't have to come an eternal separation from God. Repentance is not a curse word.

The Kingdom of Heaven began when God himself entered human history as a man. His ministry brought new light and power into the world that would be affirmed at his resurrection and at Pentecost.

Today, on August 31st, 2025, Jesus Christ reigns in the hearts of believers, so his Kingdom is near if you invite him in as Lord of your life. But the Kingdom of Heaven will not be fully realized on earth until all evil in the world is judged.

Throughout out the Bible we can see that sin can bring division and separation. (1 Corinthians 1:13, 11:18; James 4:1). Sin brings death. (Romans 6:22-23; Revelation 20:10-15; 21:7-8).

But the love of Jesus is the only bridge that connects us to the Father again. God's great voice has been compared to the sound of rushing waters, thunder, sounding horn, a sword, and God's voice to warnings against sin and repentance.

But remember my dear friends, God's megaphone thunderous voice is also that still calm sounding voice in your spirit and soul. Reading God’s living word is the clearest way to hear and confirm what God is saying.

I remember a song that still speaks loudly in my spirit. Here are the lyrics.

🎵 I thought on my way, and I turned, why don't you. I thought on my way, and I turned, why don't you. Turn unto Jesus with all of your heart, and please don't ask me why, I thought on my way, and I turned, why don't you! 🎵

I thought of making the song "Go tell it on the mountain!" In today's video worship song. Maybe I will. May it bless your heart today and encourage you to tell someone about the love of God.

God is not an indifferent observer. He cares and is active in our world. Right now, his work may be unseen and unfelt, but don’t give up. One day he will wipe out evil and punish the evildoers, just as he will establish the good and reward those who do his will.

We show spiritual blindness when we close our hearts to God’s word and the leading of his Spirit. Don't close your ears to his call for repentance. (2 Corinthians 4:1-7).

Shout to the Lord all the Earth, let us sing, power and majesty, praise to the King. Mountains bow down and the seas will roar, at the sound of your name.

REPENT!

🛐 Here’s a prayer you can pray for receiving God's thunderous voice as a simple loving whisper. "Heavenly Father, thank you for today's message that involves my heart with anticipation and praise. Lord, I'm ready to respond.

Jesus, I thank you for the words which the prophets have written and guided by the Holy Spirit. I praise you for the fact that I am able to read them so many hundreds of years after these messages were given.

Lord, please enable me to understand the message of repentance and salvation by the Holy Spirit’s loving conviction. Please help me to read and ponder the words that these great men have written.

Father, I pray that the spiritual megaphone messages they gave to ancient Israel and Judah would be the same messages that I myself would  take to heart in repentance.

Enable me Lord to have that relationship your prophets had with you and the ancient people so I can have the same loving relationship with those I care about. Lord, I pray your loving kindness would draw me closer.

Lord, full of mercy and grace, if there are some connected to "TRY JESUS" who have not come to know Jesus Christ as their own Lord and Savior, I pray they would make that decision today.

Only through your word (The Bible) may they come to know you. And for those of us who do know him but may be drifting, or may be indifferent to the claims of the word of God, please help them.

Those who have walked away from you Lord, may they recognize you as the only great shepherd who has saved their souls. Let those who once enjoyed your presence, be refreshed once again by your cleansing fire.

Lord, when we fall, and examine our sin before you, enable us Lord to truly repent as the prophets exhorted those of old to do the same. May the message today be a means to that end I pray. In Jesus’ name. Amen."
