in you.

54} Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55} For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56} He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57} As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58} This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

63} It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:48-58,63 KJV).

Have you ever thought that no matter what your food consumption is, you’re still going to die? Whether you have two percent fat or ten percent fat, whether you are a vegetarian or meat eater, we all have an appointment with death. (Hebrews 9:27).

[As sure as death itself, judgment awaits everyone. God’s judgment will have no higher court of appeal should the verdict not be to your liking. If you hope for a favorable decision in this court, put your hope entirely in Jesus.]

In a world with so much hunger, God appears as bread. God showed up in the Old Testament to meet the needs of the people. He gave them manna from heaven. And just like us today, the people did not fully follow his instructions. (Exodus 16:14-22).

When will we ever learn? From that bread to this bread from heaven is vastly different. Those people still died. Yes, we still die with the living bread, but that is a physical death. There is a physical death but there is also a spiritual death.

You just read Hebrews 9:27 a moment ago. But now read (Revelation 20:10-15; 21:6-8). You see beloved, this is what Jesus spoke about in verse 63. Physical bread (manna) only carries you to the grave.

But Jesus is that true bread provider. The truth of the passages focuses on the contrast between the temporary manna given in the wilderness and the eternal bread from heaven.

We gain our physical, spiritual, and emotional restoration through Jesus.
25} "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26} And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (John 11:25-26 KJV).

🗣📢 Last words: Jesus is the symbolic bread in our communion. It represents the broken body of Christ, the Lord's Supper, and the covenant of a physical and spiritual restoration. The bread represents my healer. (1 Corinthians 11:23-27).

We were created for physical nourishment, but we were also created for spiritual nourishment. Your spirit is housed inside your body. Our government has recently been advertising their MAHA health agenda.

Great. We all need to physically stay in tune with these amazing bodies God gave us. However, your physical body without the spiritual renewal leaves you in a perilous predicament. Jesus said it as much in (Matthew 16:26 KJV).

What can you give God in exchange for your soul? MAHA? You see beloved, God is a Spirit. He lives in a pure, Holy, realm, called heaven. When he breathed into Adam, it was his Holy breath that caused Adam to live. But when Adam sinned that spirit was corrupted.

That's why Adam and Eve were removed from the garden of Eden. The soul that sins it shall die. This is a spiritual living walking death. Therefore, sacrifices were needed to atone for these sins. Jesus was that final perfect sacrificial lamb.

Jesus came to satisfy the three things all you need to survive and be where he is, (Air- Jesus is the breath of life. Water- Jesus is the living water. (Lord willing, more about that next week), and Food- Jesus is the bread of life).

With that said, here are my three recap evaluation notes for today's message.

A) The Trap of the Perishable Sign:

The crowd crossed an entire lake not because they worshiped Jesus, but because they wanted a free grocery store. They reduced the Son of God to a cosmic vending machine.

God’s free gift of salvation is offered to all who will receive it. Those who are spiritually hungry and thirsty may come to eat and drink without money. (Isaiah 55:2).

How often do we only pray when the bank account is low, the relationship is rocky, or the health report is bad? When our faith is built entirely on what God does for us rather than who God is to us, we are working for "food that spoils." We are settling for empty spiritual calories.

But here is the devastating reality of chasing the perishable sign. Eventually, the food spoils. The check runs out. The miracle fades. The crowd quickly realized that yesterday's lunch couldn't satisfy today's hunger.

And so what do they do, they asked Jesus for a sign like the old-school wilderness manna. They were demanding an endless supply of physical resources, entirely missing the fact that the ultimate resource was standing right in front of them.

Jesus doesn't just want to hand you something that will rot by tomorrow morning; he wants to give you something that satisfies forever. This brings us directly to our second point:

B) The Sufficiency of the True Provider:

Jesus contrasts Moses' temporary manna, which rotted by the next morning, with himself. He is the eternal, "True Bread" sent by the Father.

We look to careers, relationships, social media validation, and bank accounts to supply our peace. But just like the wilderness manna, those things fade, rot, and leave us hungry again tomorrow.

Jesus doesn’t just give resources; he is the resource. That's what you see when you open the "Try Jesus" site, inspirational "resource." He is the only resource for the soul.

When you have Jesus, you possess the only asset that can never be devalued or taken away. He's your life supplier. (Philippians 4:19). Jesus is the "True Provider." He is the very "Bread" that feeds our starving souls.

Once we realize that our next question naturally becomes: "But can I keep him?" "What happens when I fail?" "What happens when the storms of life arrive?" You see beloved, if our supply line depends on our own goodness, we will live in constant fear.

This can bring spiritual starvation. But Jesus doesn't just provide a meal for today; he provides a secure home for eternity. As we read in verses 37-40, Jesus pivots from what He provides to how tightly he holds us.

C) The Unshakable Security of the Source.

The ultimate proof that Jesus is the "True Provider" is the eternal guarantee of his grace. Signs cannot save your soul, but the source keeps you secure forever. (Romans 8:38-39).

The world operates on a performance basis. If you don't produce, you get dropped. But the "True Provider" promises that if you come to him, you will never be cast out, lost, or forgotten.

Your eternal security is anchored in the Father’s absolute will, not your fluctuating strength.

We are a generation guilty of tracking the miracle while tracking away from the “Master.” We demand the bread from his hands, but we completely refuse the “Bread that he is”. Today, it’s time to stop chasing the signs and start resting in the Source.

[Many people today turn away from Jesus. Others pretend to follow him, going to church for status, the approval of family and friends, or business contacts. But only two real responses to Jesus are available.]

You either accept him or reject him. How will you respond? (Romans 10:8-13). My beloved friends, do not turn off your CP, tablet, or smart phone still begging God for a few temporary crumbs from his table.

God is never stingy. He has already offered you the entire banquet of his presence. Stop working for the bread that spoils, throw away the empty boxes, and feast on the "Bread" that lives.

🛐 Here’s a prayer you can pray to taste and see that the Lord is good. "Heavenly Father, thank you for feeding us with this bread that is greater than any amount of prepared bread from any Michelin star chef on this earth.

Lord, now we understand. Please forgive us for the times we have valued your gifts more than your presence. Forgive us for treating the King of Kings like a casual line-cook, demanding that you feed our earthly desires.

Jesus, when we love the world's banquet, our souls remain starved for you. Open our eyes to see past the signs. Bring us back to the source. Jesus, we declare today that you are the "True Provider, and the Bread of Life."

Today, we make you our absolute satisfaction. Break our dependency on the temporary manna of this world and anchor our hearts in your eternal security. We are sealed with your promises, in Jesus’ name, Amen."
