far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18} While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 KJV).

You see beloved, the inner man (his spirit) looks past the corruption that takes place in the grave. That's why Jesus directed the Pharisees to clean the inside of the cup first, then you can focus on the outside. (Matthew 23:26).

Before we close, here are my three practical plans you can use as your blueprint on which cup of life you prefer to be. Always begin each day in prayer and focus on the transformation power of God in your life.

☕️The deception of the surface: I know so many people who are surface followers of Jesus. They get caught up in any religion and thing all religious roads lead to God. My answer would simply be, then why wasn't the Pharisees road good?

You see beloved, it's easy to fake spiritual health through external rituals, good behavior, and public reputation. (Acts 16:16-21). Man, always looks at the outward appearance, but not God. (1 Samuel 16:6-13; Isaiah 29:13; Luke 16:15

Polishing the outside might fool neighbors, but it never fools the Creator.

☕️ The condition of the core: Jesus exposed the Pharisees inward selfish deeds. Pride goes before the fall. They walked in their pious rules of "me, myself, and I." (Proverbs 4:23; 16:18; Mark 7:21-33; Jeremiah 17:9).

Remember beloved, sin starts in the heart before it manifests in our actions. A beautiful exterior can easily mask a soul that is rotting with selfishness and unconfessed pride.

☕️ The cure from inside out: I'm praying for the body of Christ (starting with myself), that there might be an invitation of the Holy Spirit to do a deep, internal cleansing throughout our nation, rather than just managing behavioral symptoms


🗣📢 Last words: As a church family, in life groups, and in your homes, please read into your spirit aloud these passages. (Psalm 51:1-12; Ezekiel 36:25-29; Matthew 23:26). God desires that we draw near to him. He cleans us.

The transformation is an inside-out process. When Christ cleanses the heart, the outward life naturally becomes genuinely clean, authentic, and useful for his Kingdom. His sacrificial blood cleanses us from sin.

26} "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27} And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

28} For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29} But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom." (Matthew 26:26-29 KJV).

[The shedding of Jesus’ blood, which this cup foreshadows, opens the way for the redemption of all humanity. (Exodus 6:1-8). As with the bread, Jesus spoke words in figurative language. "This is my blood."]

[This defines what he meant. “This wine represents my blood.” It couldn’t have been his literal blood because he was sitting there with them. The cup is the container to express what is being contained, "The blood."]

Here's something to consider this week as you examine what's in your cup. 21} "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

22} Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? 23} All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. (1 Corinthians 10:21-23 KJV).

[Drinking from “the cup of demons” means identifying with Satan by worshiping or promoting pagan or evil activities. Are you leading two lives, trying to follow both Christ and the crowd? The Bible says that you can’t do both at the same time.]

Please read these following verses in your private devotion time with the Lord. (Psalm 18:4-8; 75:8; Revelation 14:9-10; John 11:25-28; 18:9-11; Mark 7:6-10). The blood of Jesus washes away our sins.

There are religions, denominations, and doctrines that teach from the doctrines of devils. They never seek to examine the inside of their cups, because they have decided their man-made rules and legalism is better than Jesus' doctrine.

1} "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2} Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron" (1 Timothy 4:1-2 KJV).

Again, the Pharisees had added hundreds of their own rules and regulations to God’s holy laws, and then they tried to force people to follow these rules. These men claimed to know God’s will in every detail of life.

There are still religious leaders today who add rules and regulations to God’s word, causing much confusion among believers. It is arrogant to assume that your interpretation of God’s Word is as important as God’s Word itself.

It is especially dangerous to set up unbiblical standards for others to follow. Instead, look to "God’s Word, The Bible," for guidance about your own behavior, and then let God lead others in the details of their lives.

Did you grasp all of that? Instead of focusing on traditions and denominationalism, the focus should be on the power of the Holy Spirit by the blood of Jesus. Our focus should be on heart transformation.

God is an inside-out working creator. We cannot survive without our main internal organs, right? God is an inside-out cleansing Savior. So, what's inside your spiritual cup besides your favorite beverage?

Some of you need some deep cleaning today. Why not allow Jesus to scrub your soul clean with his sinless blood and fill your spiritual cup with newness of life. Garbage in, means garbage out. Get rid of that dirty cup.

🎵 Like the woman at the well, I was seeking for things that could not satisfy.
And then I heard my Savior speaking, "Draw from my well that never shall run dry.” Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up Lord;

Come and quench this thirsting of my soul. Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more, fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole. 🎵

Church, the scales of religion will always tell you that looking good is good enough. But Jesus didn't die to make you look clean; He died to make you holy. He isn't looking at the polish on your Sunday best.

He is looking straight into the bottom of your cup. Right now, the Holy Spirit is asking you the ultimate question: What are you hiding behind your good appearance? Stop trying to get all those viral clicks on social media.

Stop spending all your energy trying to manage a reputation that doesn’t match your reality. Stop scrubbing the outside. Today is the day to open up the deep, hidden spaces of your heart and let Christ do a radical, inside-out cleansing.

If you are tired of the exhaustion of surface-level religion, if you are weary from pretending, or if you know there is greed, pride, or self-indulgence trapped inside your vessel, do not walk away, or turn off your device unchanged.

Step forward, come to this altar, and bring your cup to the only one who can wash it white as snow. (Isaiah 14:12-15). Now read Isaiah 1:18-20; Romans 10:8-13). Let the deep clean begin today.


🛐 Here’s a prayer you can pray. Lift your cup (heart). "Heavenly Father, thank you for showing me where the dirt is hiding. I no longer want to sweep the dirt of sin under my living carpet. I come before you humbled by sharp truth.

Lord, it is so easy for me to polish the outside of my life. I confess that I often care more about what people think of my faith than what you know about my heart. I have hidden greed, selfishness, and pride behind religious routines.

Forgive me Lord, for surface-level righteousness. I don't want to be a shining vessel containing unclean things. Holy Spirit, I ask you to do a deep clean in me today. Search me, know me, expose the areas that took root in me.

Jesus, where I have allowed self to sit on the throne of my heart, through disobedience, wash my heart from the inside out. May my love for you be authentic, my integrity be absolute, and my life be genuinely clean by your blood.

Send me out into the world today, not to put on a show from without from the world’s sinful dirt, but to shine your genuine light from within for the world to see. In Jesus' mighty name I pray, Amen."
