Real Life For Your Heart

Don't play in the minefield

to the inner man, mind, will, heart, and understanding. The heart serves as the seat of your intellect. The key to the whole man is his mind. Whatever captures the mind captures the man.
When Jesus delivered the demoniac in (Mark 5:15), it says the man was clothed and in his right mind. The landmines (demons), had been removed. Beloved, everything you do flows from it. You need to store up good things in it.
You can only do this if you’re willing to surrender those thoughts and be transformed by God’s loving word. Don’t allow your mind to be conformed to the world’s way of thinking. (Romans 12:1-2). The Greek word (nooce) mind, involves the intellect, understanding, and the faculties of perceiving right thoughts.
How about the Bible? God's word comes with some pretty good armor. That helmet of salvation comes with some great discernment to foresee those land mines so you can expose them. If the heart is good, our words and actions will be good.
Jesus spoke about the heart in (Matthew 12:34-35; Mark 7:20-23; Luke 6:45). Guarding your heart is like using a metal detector. You must scan your thoughts diligently before you step on them and let them explode into your actions.
Have you ever talked to someone who is angry all the time or their words don't make any sense about the conversation you're having with them? Some people's minds are like tornados. You see the damage they leave afterwards.
If you step on the spiritual landmines Satan has placed in front of you, then more than likely, you are a person devoid of peace. I know people who have racing minds all day long. They can't see the spiritual potholes Satan put in their way.
🗣📢 Last words: Before we close for the day, here are the three cautions and directions you might want to adhere to avoid those pesky landmines Satan tries to setup in your thinking. You can keep your mind tuned up with preventative Wisdom.
🔥 Hidden dangers and unseen thoughts- God knows the intent of every thought. Please read these verses into your spirit. (Jeremiah 17:9; Psalm 139:23-24; Job 31:1). The Bible directs us to watch and pray. (Matthew 26:41).
🔥🔥Beware of the blast radius- The destructive impact of an angry mind can leave devastated lives in its path. (Proverbs 25:28; James 3:5-10; Romans 8:4-9). If you don't have the Holy Spirit as your minds cover, look out!
🔥🔥🔥Safe navigation, sweeping the field- Did you know the Holy Spirit can help your mind focus? (Philippians 2:5). Your mind can be renewed and transformed to understand God's will and purpose for your life.
Each added fire represents our need for the Holy Spirit’s mindset. You can have the peace that passes all understanding. (Isaiah 26:3). It is a peace the world cannot receive because they do not know God, therefore the landmines continue to explode.
The believer can walk with faith through everyday landmines that appear from the enemy (Satan). Here's what the mindset of the lost find themselves trapped in. They try navigating the landmines in their own mental power.
@ Satan uses this when it comes to the mental gymnastics of politics. When you view the entire world through the prism of race, it really becomes a mental prison. These people actually think they are broadening the world.
Their ideas are divisive and cause division all over the landscape. They are not broadening the world's ideas but are actually diminishing everyone their verbal landmines come in contact with.
We should be focused on behavior and merit (fruit), (Matthew 7:16-21), instead of the pigment. Otherwise, you are diminishing the world when you blindly pull that race card out of your back pocket.
We should be hearers of God's word, but doers. "Let this mind be in you, which is in Christ Jesus." What is the mindset of Jesus? Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Think God thoughts.
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV). The Greek word (sōphronismos) is one that has mental discipline. One called to have soundness of mind.
This type of mind walks in moderation of thought and self-control. A racing uncontrolled mind has no boundaries. It leads one to have limburger cheese thoughts. "stinkum, thinkum." These kinds of minds lack common sense.
The Lord changes our lives from the inside out. He renews our minds, giving us the spiritual insight to see what he wants us to do and how he wants us to live. God also gives us the desire and power to do so through his Holy Spirit.
Which means, if you desire to have a mind full of right thoughts, you'll open your heart, allow God to take up residence and begin to tear down your old way of thinking and reconstruct your thoughts to think with righteousness.
God’s Holy Spirit works in us, changing us to reflect his holiness. We all want our minds to be filled with peace and tranquility. Even in a godless, corrupt world, God’s internal peace covers the spirit filled believer.
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah 26:3 KJV).
Beloved, you might have thoughts that seem to slip by your helmet of salvation, but through Jesus, you decide where that thought walks. Stop letting the enemy weaponize your imagination, sweep the field. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
You can capture the thoughts, kick the enemy out, return to sender and then let the "Prince of Peace" take the lead.
🛐 Here’s a prayer you can pray to get your mind right. "Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing calm soundness to my mind. I acknowledge that my mind often feel like a battlefield, filled with hidden traps of worry, comparison, and fear.
Forgive me for the times I have allowed destructive thoughts to take root and cause chaos in my life and relationships.
Right now, I repent of evil thoughts and invite your Holy Spirit to sweep across the landscape of my heart.
Lord, expose the hidden snares of the enemy. By your grace, give me the spiritual discernment to stop walking blindly into toxic mental patterns. I actively bring every rogue thought into captivity today.
Jesus, I submit my imaginations, my anxieties, and my doubts to your loving powerful authority. Guard my heart and mind with a peace that surpasses all human understanding. May your biblical truth be the map I follow today.
Let your word be the light for my path. Lord, please step into my week, defuse my fears, and lead me safely on level ground. The minefield has been swept clean. In your powerful and matchless name, I pray, Amen."
