Real Life For Your Heart

{Page 2}
Whom do you seek?

or face the fall that many seek when coming up against a Holy God. Did you know every knee is going to bow before Jesus? His power is unmatched by any other source on earth.
Think about the things you're seeking in life and on your device. Think about how the things you seek confront you and then enslave you. The urgent truth of God's word does not hide in the darkness. All humans are born seeking and searching.
Here are words worth seeking that are in the light. (Romans 1:18-23; 3:9-13; Acts 1:8; 17:24-27; John 14:15-17; Matthew 6:33-34; 7:7-11; 28:18-20; James 5:19-20; Hebrews 11:6; Luke 19:9-10; Deuteronomy 4:29-31; Proverbs 3:5-6).
The Lord rewards those who diligently seek after him. Just as you seek to know your spouse more and more over time, we should get to know God better by our desire to seek him more. This builds an unbreakable intimacy.
🗣📢 Last words: If you desire to pull yourself away from seeking things that are destined to destroy your soul, then take hold of the hand the brings you into his marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9-11). His light can be found in the web.
Here are the 3 clicks you can latch onto that keeps you seeking the right choices.
🖱️ The Danger of the Preconceived Jesus~
The mob came into the garden with lanterns and torches and weapons. They had a preconceived, weaponized caricature of Jesus in their minds. This is why it was important for me through prayer to have last week’s message.
So, my beloved friends, here's the urgent truth. Today's message points to a both sides truthful equation; we do the same in political thought. Right-wing culture may often reduce Jesus to a nationalistic mascot.
The left-wing culture often reduces him to a harmless social activist. When we reduce Jesus to an ideology, we stop seeking a Savior and start seeking a political tool. God's ways and thoughts are higher than our human systems.
If your "Jesus" never offends you, convicts you, or contradicts your political party, you are not seeking the Jesus of the Bible, you are seeking a mirror. You're seeking Jesus in the dark like Judas and the soldiers did.
If you bring all of social media to Jesus, you will find different Christ in them. Jesus warned about this in the last days, when things are going to be really difficult for those surface-level seekers of God. (2 Timothy 4:3-4; Isaiah 55:8-11).
📱The Sovereign Confrontation~
Jesus knew everything that was coming, yet he stepped forward first. He even lovingly healed the ear of one of his enemies who came to take him. He didn't run. How could you not want to seek after a person with this character?
And still, at the sound of this divine voice, "I AM", the heavily armed crowd collapsed. Know this beloved, as you’re searching for meaning in your life, Jesus refuses to be managed, co-opted, or controlled by our agendas.
You cannot fit the King of kings into a neat ideological box. When the real Jesus reveals himself, human systems, political structures and cultural pride collapse at his feet. We do not Judge the King of the earth; he judges us.
The urgency of today's message demands that we drop our agendas and fall to our knees before his absolute authority. Our young children and college students are being manipulated, attacked, and indoctrinated.
We desperately and lovingly need to point them to Jesus. Parents, it's time to put back up those loving boundaries and bring the light of Jesus back into caring about what's being taught in our school systems.
Jesus is highly exalted in our world today. Nothing can prevent his presence from showing up where people are seeking him. Every knee shall bow to his authority. (Philippians 2:9-11; Colossians 1:16-17).
👆 The Urgent Choice; Surrender or Arrest~
Both sides in the garden came ready to fight for their own version of kingdoms. The Pharisees brought institutional weapons; Peter brought an impulsive angry sword. Israel 🇮🇱 still wanted a political king.
With missed what Jesus was actually doing. Today beloved, we are living in a culture and world that is consumed by outrage, culture wars, and political warfare. If we are not careful, we will approach Jesus like mobs.
You see it every day in protest and activist who have no issue with violence. They would support Judas and soldiers over Jesus today. Because they don't know the Lord, they'll say, "Well didn't Jesus turn over tables?"
But those same individuals do know the difference between loving righteous indignation over murderous sinful evil actions. Real believers know the difference, "Hate the sin, but love the sinner."
Peter failed at trying to get Jesus to win him over to his side by show of violent force. Jesus did not come to take sides; he came to take over. He's asking you today, "Whom do you seek?" "Is it him or the world?"
Are you seeking a Jesus who helps you win arguments online, or a Savior who demands the total surrender of your life, your loyalty and your identity? Jesus doesn't send out his servants (friends) to fight, he's already won the fight.
Jesus is looking for your heart today. He came to seek and save that which is lost. He's knocking on the door of your heart right now. He wants you to be a part of his Kingdom. He wants you to seek him over everything in this world.
He's looking for disciples who will take up their cross and follow him. (John 18:36-40; Luke 9:23-26). Did you know that comprehensive biblical data reveals a major spiritual crisis in Christian circles?
74% of Americans still identify as Christian in a general cultural sense, (many in name only), and only 32% are actually practicing Christians who actively prioritize church fellowship and faith in Jesus as Lord.
Many religious people are thrown in the data as being in the faith. But in the faith of whom? What are the false doctrines into? What are the false teachers into? What are the cults into? Is everyone in the faith?
The rest of this data shows that everyone else are non-practicing, opening the door for culture, rather than for Jesus to form their own worldview. Beloved, as biblical literacy plummets, people increasingly replace scripture.
They seek a scriptural worldview with modern, secular political ideologies. The internet is a toxic malignant tumor for those who are captured by it. It is an unreal mirage but gives real life pain and suffering for those caught in its web of pain.
Members of Try Jesus, and the Body of believers, the church, his true disciples. Beloved, look out into the dark cultural night we are living in right now. The torches of political anger are lit. The weapons of ideological warfare are drawn on every side.
This is taking place right in the middle of our chaotic, fractured world, and then the real sovereign Jesus steps out of the shadows. He stands before your political alignment, your social media feed, and your hidden lifestyle.
Jesus is still asking on August 23rd, Sunday morning, "Whom do you seek?" Don't answer unknowingly with a religious answer. Don't give the "I'm a Sunday Christian." If you are seeking a Jesus who simply validates, you missed why he came.
Jesus is not here to just validate your anger, rubber-stamp your preferences, and defeat your earthly enemies you hate, because if you are, you are looking for a ghost of your own imagination.
To experience him, we must seek after him with all our heart. Scripture consistently encourages us to ask, “Is God just one among many pursuits, or is God chief of all our desires?”
The real Jesus demands your absolute, unconditional surrender. The political parties cannot save you. The ideologies will crumble. Stop trying to weaponize the King of Kings. Drop your sword, step out of the crowd, and fall at the feet of the Living God.
🛐 Here’s a prayer you can pray to refocus your seeking vision. "Heavenly Father, (I) we stand in awe of Jesus Christ, the Sovereign Lord who stepped forward into the darkness of Gethsemane for our sake.
Forgive us, Lord, for the times we tried to shrink you down into our political parties, our cultural preferences, and our personal agendas. Forgive us for seeking a customized savior instead of the crucified and risen King.
We ask that your Holy Spirit would shatter every false image of Jesus we have built in our hearts. Bring us to our knees today in true repentance. We lay down our earthly weapons and surrender our pride.
We declare that you alone are Lord over our lives, our families, and our nation. May we know in whom seek this morning, seeking nothing less than the real, unfiltered Jesus of the scriptures. It is in his powerful, unmatched, and holy name we pray, Amen."
